Learning to Trust Yourself Again: Coming Home to Your Inner Knowing

There’s a quiet ache I hear often from the women and souls I work with:
“I don’t know how to trust myself anymore.”

Sometimes it’s because of trauma. Sometimes it’s because of manipulation or gaslighting.
Sometimes it’s just the weight of the world telling you, again and again, that you can’t possibly know what’s best for you.

But here’s the truth: You were born with deep, wise, intuitive knowing. That knowing still lives inside you.

🕊️ The Wound of Distrust

Self-trust erodes slowly:

  • After being told your feelings were “too much” or “wrong”

  • After repeatedly putting others’ needs ahead of your own

  • After traumatic experiences that shattered your sense of safety

  • After second-guessing every decision because fear whispered louder than your own voice

It’s not your fault if you struggle to hear your intuition. It’s simply time to rebuild the bridge.

🌸 Coming Home to Yourself

Self-trust isn’t about always knowing the “right” answer. It’s about choosing to believe:

  • That your body speaks truth through its signals

  • That your gut feeling deserves airtime

  • That mistakes don’t mean failure, they mean you’re trying

  • That even when you wobble, you’re still whole

🔮 A Practice to Rebuild Self-Trust

Each morning, ask yourself:

“What do I need today?” Place your hand over your heart. Breathe. Listen. Then write down the answer. Even if it’s simple. Even if it doesn’t make sense yet.

If you follow through, even a little, you tell your inner self:
“I hear you. You matter.” And if you don’t follow through? Be gentle. Try again tomorrow.

🌕 Trust is a Relationship

And like all relationships, it takes time. It takes tending. Let your self-trust rebuild slowly, through small rituals, soft promises, and listening more closely than the noise of the world.

You are not broken. You are remembering.
